DESCRIPTION: Birge & Fuller, Bristol, Conn., (sold by J. J. & W. Beals, Boston) steeple on frame shelf clock with a wagon spring driven 30 hour time and strike movement in a mahogany veneered case.
CONDITION: The case has been refinishewd and has some veneer loss on the lower right front molding. The original painted dial has minor loss at the winding holes and the mounting points. The hands are period, but probably not original. The upper door glasses are original with the lower glass displaying a beautiful colored vase framed by a white border. The lower door tablet is in excellent original condition. Two of the finials show very minor loss at the top. The wagon springs chains have been replaced by wire. The case has an interior Birge and Fuller label with an overpasted label from J. J. & W. Beals in Boston. .
